What’s Happening In The Market Now... Stocks were mixed at the open before turning slightly lower so far this morning. Oil prices are up as Tropical Storm Fay approached Florida. The National Association of Home Builders is expected to release its monthly report on the housing market at 1 p.m. ET with economists anticipating the index to be flat for August compared to July. Sectors starting the day out strong include forest products, airlines, department stores and building products while consumer electronics, coal & consumable fuels, gold and construction & engineering are down. Volume leaders include Financial Select Sector (XLF), Fannie Mae (FNM), Lowes Companies Inc (LOW), General Motors Corp (GM) and Symantec Corp (SYMC).
