What’s Happening In The Market Now... The market was higher at the open this morning with falling oil and a rising dollar. Oil prices fell below $114 on signs that the world's largest economies are weakening and on OPEC's prediction that energy demand will decline. The dollar rose to above 110 yen while the euro weakened to $1.47. Sectors starting the day out strong include construction materials, building products and homebuilding while consumer electronics, coal & consumable fuels and diversified metals & mining are down. Volume leaders include Pfizer Inc (PFE), Oracle Corp (ORCL), Wells Fargo and Company (WFC), Verizon Communications Inc (VZ) and Applied Materials Inc (AMAT).
